What’s the Difference Between Construction Services and Design Concept Services? Do You Offer Construction?
No — 8th Ave Interior Design does not provide construction services, construction management, or construction planning.
Our role is in the design phase, not the construction phase.
Here’s the difference:
Construction Services (Not Offered by 8th Ave Interior Design)
Construction services include tasks performed by licensed contractors and trades, such as:
- Demolition, installation, or structural work
- Electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or HVAC
- Framing, flooring installation, tiling, cabinetry installation
- Architectural or engineering plans
- On-site labor or construction scheduling
These services must be provided by a licensed general contractor or trade professional.
Design Concept Services (What We Do Offer)
Our design services provide the vision, plan, and details that guide your contractor. This includes:
- Floor plans and layout planning
- Design concepts and elevated styling direction
- Material, finish, fixture, and furniture sourcing
- Color palettes and mood boards
- Product specifications and purchasing support
- Installation guidance for your contractor to follow
We create a clear, cohesive design strategy so your contractor knows exactly what to build — but we don’t perform or manage the physical work.
Why This Matters
Design and construction are two separate phases with separate professionals.
We ensure aesthetic clarity, functionality, and cohesive planning, while your contractor ensures code compliance, safety, and execution of the build.
